Laser removal breaks pigment into particles small enough for your body to clear away naturally. It works on old or unwanted body tattoos and on permanent makeup: brows, eyeliner and lip that has faded, shifted colour, or simply isn't right any more.

Devon runs the laser side of the studio using medical-grade Q-switched and Pico systems, each calibrated for different pigment types, from carbon-based blacks to organic browns, greys and stubborn reds.

Removal is a process, not a single appointment. Done properly, and at the skin's pace.

Every treatment begins with a free consultation and patch test. Removal is a gradual process: most tattoos and PMU need 3–6 or more sessions, spaced at least 8 weeks apart so the skin can fully regenerate between visits.

You may feel a brief snapping sensation or light heat, but it's short-lived and manageable, with cooling and topical numbing on hand. Each session takes around 10–30 minutes depending on the area.

How removal works

01
Consultation & patch test

A free assessment of your tattoo or PMU: size, ink type and depth, plus a patch test to check how your skin responds. You'll get an honest sense of sessions and cost.

02
Your first session

The laser is calibrated to your pigment and passed over the area. Sessions are quick, around 10–30 minutes, with cooling and numbing to keep you comfortable.

03
Healing & regeneration

Some redness, swelling or light crusting is normal at first, with surface healing in a few days. Your skin then clears pigment over the following weeks.

04
Spaced sessions

Treatments are repeated at least 8 weeks apart. Each one fades the pigment further, so the tattoo or PMU lightens steadily over the course of your plan.

05
The result

Full removal, or enough fading to re-work old PMU or cover an old tattoo. Devon supports you directly between sessions with aftercare guidance.

A few things worth knowing

How much does removal cost?+

Body tattoo removal is priced by size, per session: small (matchbox or smaller) from £9.99, medium (about the size of your palm) £60, large (both hands) £80, and extra large (sleeves) £100. Removing and re-doing old permanent makeup is £60 for eyebrows and £120 for eyeliner, dropping to £40 and £90 if you're booking a new treatment at the same time. How many sessions will I need?+

Most tattoos and PMU need 3–6 or more sessions, spaced at least 8 weeks apart. The exact number depends on the ink type, colour, depth and how your skin responds. Devon will give you an honest estimate at your consultation.

Does it hurt?+

You may feel a brief snapping sensation or light heat, but it's short-lived and manageable. Cooling systems and topical numbing are used to keep each session as comfortable as possible.

Can you remove old brows or eyeliner?+

Yes. Laser is well suited to fading or removing unwanted permanent makeup, whether you want it gone completely or lightened enough to have fresh PMU worked over the top.

What does healing look like?+

Expect some redness, swelling and mild crusting straight after, with surface healing within 2–3 days and most visible healing complete within 7–10 days. You'll get detailed aftercare and direct support from Devon.

Which colours can be removed?+

The lasers are calibrated for a range of pigments, from carbon-based blacks to organic browns and greys and red and pink tones. Some colours clear faster than others, which we'll cover at your patch test.
