Privacy policy
This explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be waded through. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it plainly.
Who we are
Gemma Henderson PMU, The Racecourse, Newton Road, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ12 3AF. We are the data controller for the information described below, which means we decide what is collected and why. You can reach us at hello@gemmahendersonpma.com or on 07538 553 379.
What this website collects
The only place this site asks for anything is the contact form. When you use it we receive your name, your email address, your phone number, the kind of enquiry you have picked, the treatments or courses you ticked, and whatever you write in the message box. Apart from the analytics and advertising cookies described under Cookies and tracking below, which run only if you accept them, nothing else on the site collects information about you.
We ask for this so we can answer you. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you chose to send, and, where you are asking to book, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Where it goes
Your enquiry comes straight to the studio, and we keep a record of it so that nothing you send us is lost. That record holds only what you typed into the form and the date you sent it. It does not hold your IP address or your browser.
To stop the form being used to send bulk unwanted mail, we briefly hold a one-way scrambled version of your network address. It cannot be turned back into your address, it is never stored alongside your enquiry, and it is deleted automatically. It is used for nothing else.
Our newsletter and our free webinars are hosted separately on systeme.io. If you sign up for either, you leave this website and give your details to systeme.io directly, under their privacy policy as well as ours. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in it.
Cookies and tracking
When you first visit, a banner at the bottom of the page asks whether you are happy for us to use cookies for analytics and advertising. Nothing that tracks you runs until you choose. If you accept, we load Google Tag Manager, which in turn sets up Google Analytics, so we can see how the site is used, and the Meta pixel, so our Facebook and Instagram advertising reaches the right people and we can tell whether it is working. These set cookies in your browser. Our lawful basis for them is your consent.
If you reject, or close the banner without choosing, none of that loads and no tracking cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time usingCookie settings in the footer, and turning it back off stops any further collection straight away. Rejecting is one click, exactly like accepting.
Google and Meta act as our providers for this and receive the website-usage data the tools collect. Both may process some of it outside the UK under the safeguards in their own terms. You can read more inGoogle's privacy policyand Meta's privacy policy.
Two small things are kept in your own browser rather than sent anywhere. One remembers your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page. The other remembers that you closed the sign-up offer, so it does not reopen for a day. Neither is sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browsing data removes them.
Pages also link out to places like Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and Trustpilot. Those are ordinary links: nothing is loaded from them until you choose to follow one, and once you do you are on their site under their terms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we have the history if you come back to us. If you would rather we deleted yours sooner, just ask and we will remove it.
If you go on to book a treatment, the consultation and medical records we take at the studio are separate from this website and are held under our clinical record keeping obligations. Ask us at your appointment if you would like the detail.
Who else sees it
The studio team who need it to answer you, and the service providers who help us run this website and our email, who act on our instructions and for no purpose of their own. Where you have accepted cookies, Google and Meta also receive website-usage data as described under Cookies and tracking. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we do not pass it to third parties except where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and object to us holding it. There is no charge, and we will respond within one month. Email hello@gemmahendersonpma.com and tell us what you need.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this policy
If what we do with your information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when. This version is dated 19 October 2026.
