Here are a few details I normally discuss with my clients during consultations:
Cosmetic Tattooing treatment is classed as semi-permanent because some of the pigment could remain in the skin indefinitely, a colour boost is recommended roughly every 10-24 months to keep them look at their best.
Eyebrows are sisters not twins’ they will never be 100% identical as your face shape is different from one side to the other, I will pencil your brows on before the treatment and make them as symmetrical as possible. I don’t start the procedure until we are both happy.
My style is natural, you can always add but you can’t take away. I believe that this treatment is about enhancing your natural look. You can still add makeup for a bolder look if needed. We need to remember that fashion styles change.
This is a two-part treatment so a top up is vital. The top up is done 6-12 weeks after the initial procedure. Please note a charge will be applied if left longer. I like to warn clients that they are likely to go patchy and fade after the first treatment. Sometimes the pigment is masked by healing skin and can push back through over the healing process, if not then this will be filled at the top up.
With all treatments the pigment will fade by around 30% once healed. Some clients will require a third treatment, this is chargeable (£50).
Usually the clients that require this have oilier skin, are on certain medications, clients that have bled more during treatments, and those that haven’t followed the aftercare instructions.
It is very important that you don’t pick your brows as this will pull the pigment out too early.
Cosmetic Tattooing using the Digital Machine Method (hairstrokes and ombré) with a single needle – this method allows for a longer lasting natural looking result, with less trauma to the skin. It’s my preferred method.
Cosmetic Tattooing ~ Microblading is done with a blade, the hand tool tattooing method is a manual way of implanting pigment, creating fine hairstrokes (this technique is NOT recommended for mature or very delicate skin, textured skins from wrinkles or extremely large pores, skins which are extremely pale, skins which have a very rosy/red tone ie extreme rosecia sufferers, extremely oily skin or very oily t-zone)
The technique of which you have ultimately will be decided by Gemma Henderson with you on the day of the appointment based on your skin tone & type as she knows what results will be best for you or if you aren’t sure if you’re skin falls under any of the above concerns.
In regards to how long they last it is all depending on your lifestyle and body but there’s no guarantee of how long it will last every person differs. The treatment appointment itself is around 2 hours. (Consultation included)
It’s all natural ingredients so it’s not bad for your body.
You will need approximately 3 weeks after your brows have been done before they have healed and you can go in the sun, on a sun holiday and we advise you to have “both” appointment done before any sun holidays as a sun holiday in between initial treatments could affect your final results
There is usually about a 5-6 month lead time for appointment and you will be required to pay a £50 deposit at the time of booking with the balance payable in full on the day of your first appointment.
If you are limited to the days and times you can do please ask to book your second appointment at the same time as Gemma Henderson has limited appointments for evenings and weekends.
