Two very different treatments — here is what you need to know before deciding.Lip filler uses hyaluronic acid injections to add volume to the lips. It changes the physical shape and fullness of the lip. Lip blush, on the other hand, adds colour and definition — it improves how your lips look without altering their shape or adding volume. Both treatments can complement each other, but they address different concerns.
Lip blush is a tattoo-based treatment applied into the upper layers of skin. It fades gradually over 1–2 years, meaning you are not locked into a look permanently. Results look natural and are customisable — from barely-there tints to bolder washes of colour depending on your preference.

Lip Blush Healing: What to Expect Day by Day
The healing process is straightforward — here is what typically happens.In the first 2–3 days your lips will appear darker and more vibrant than your final result — this is normal. They may feel slightly tender and will begin to peel as the outer skin heals. This peeling is part of the process and should not be picked at. Around days 4–7, the colour will fade significantly and may look patchy. This is temporary.
By weeks 4–6, the true healed colour settles in. This is when your perfecting session is scheduled to refine the result and fill any areas that healed unevenly. The perfecting session is included in your treatment — it is a normal and expected part of the process, not a corrective measure.
- Days 1–3: Darker, more vibrant colour
- Days 4–7: Peeling and significant fade
- Weeks 2–4: Colour gradually returns
- Weeks 4–6: Final healed result
Lip Blush FAQs
How long does lip blush last?
Lip blush typically lasts 1–2 years before a colour refresh is needed. Longevity depends on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you follow aftercare advice. Sun exposure and certain skincare products can speed up fading. Annual top-ups help maintain a fresh result.
Does lip blush hurt?
We apply a numbing cream before and during the procedure to keep the experience comfortable. Most clients describe a mild tingling or pressure sensation. The lips are a more sensitive area than brows, but the majority of clients find the treatment very manageable.
What colours are available for lip blush?
A wide range of natural and bolder tones are available, from soft nudes and dusty roses to deeper berries. Can I still wear lipstick over lip blush?
